The Three W’s in Health and Fitness

To renew the spirit:  WORD

The Word of God is so sacred to me.  I have a respect for the Word that I did not have only three years ago.  The deeper you dig, the more you realize - it's all there, everything you need to know.  God wants His Temple (our bodies) to be in excellent condition, and He tells us how to do it!

"For the Word of God is living and active.  Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”   - Hebrews 4:12

Jesus answered,” It is written: Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”   - Matthew 4:4 “

To restore the soul:

WORSHIP

The area of worship also holds tremendous importance.  The bottom line is that we were created to worship the Father.  That’s it.  That’s why we’re here…hmmm.  There are a lot of us that need to discover what that means, and why it is so powerful in the restoration process.  I am still learning, but here's a clue;  The worship your Father loves is probably not the same old worship you grew up with!  My desire is for you to discover the joy of worship.  It is one of the most wonderful privileges  we have!

“…worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness.”   - 1 Chronicles 16:29

To reconstruct the body:
WATER

“Also measure out a sixth of a hin of water and drink it at set times.”  - Ezekiel 4:11

God is commanding  his servant Ezekiel to drink a gallon of water a day…  Do you think that God knows the human body well enough to know exactly how much water we need?  For women, this amount may be less, depending on your body weight,

“Then God opened up the hollow place in Lehi, and water came out of it.  When Samson drank, his strength returned and he revived.”  - Judges 16:19

It is amazing how much better I feel after I drink water when I have been exercising.  I may not have just killed a thousand men with the jaw bone of an ass, (don’t ya just love the story of Samson?…), but 30 minutes on a treadmill and I’m craving some water!  Not coke, not milk, not tea, not coffee…..WATER!!!
